LONDON - Singer Peter Andre is planning a Michael Jackson tribute concert.

The “Behind closed doors” singer has been in “regular contact” with the late pop legend’s sister La Toya and is hoping to meet her next week to finalise their plans for a show, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“Over the last few weeks I have been in regular contact with La Toya Jackson about some kind of tribute for her brother, Michael. Everyone who knows me knows how much I idolised Michael and how much his music influenced me, so I feel really honoured to be part of this. There isn’t anything quite set in stone yet but we have four or five ideas, including a tribute concert or a TV special,” Andre said.

“La Toya is flying to the UK next week, so we are going to meet up and hopefully put our ideas into action. La Toya is one of the few Jacksons I haven’t met yet, so I am really looking forward to spending some time with her,” he added.

The tribute show has been announced to take place in Vienna, Austria, in September.

Being organised by World Awards Media GmbH and the King of Pop’s brother Jermaine, it will take place at the Schoenbrunn Palace.

Unconfirmed reports suggest U2, Madonna, Lionel Richie and Whitney Houston could all be performing in it.
