Judge approves monthly allowance to Jackson kids

LOS ANGELES — A judge has approved a monthly allowance to Michael Jackson’s three children.

The amounts weren’t disclosed at a court hearing Monday.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered the stipend approved retroactively to June 25, when the King of Pop died.

Beckloff didn’t approve the full amount sought by attorneys for the administrators of Jackson’s estate. He approved 84 percent of the amount sought, citing concerns about duplicate expenses with a monthly allowance approved for Jackson’s mother, Katherine.

The allowances will be reviewed in six months.
