Ravi Behl, one of the three musketeers in Boogie Woogie gets candid in an interview. Multi-faceted Ravi Behl is known for his PJs on the show. Along side he has also realized his own growth from being Ravi to Ravi uncle.

   1. Boogie Woogie came into being when dancing was not so big? How did the idea surfaced?

There were so many show happening for singers but nothing was there for dancers so we all three decided to do something for that genre.

   2. Do you agree with the fact that Boogie Woogie is not made; it has become whatever it is today?

No body in this world will begin a project thinking that it will be a flop. It is always expected to be successful but Boogie Woogie have given much more than it was expected.

   3. How does it feel to see people growing from the platform of Boogie Woogie?

It feels great to see these people growing from here.

   4. As BW is the platform where maximum numbers of participants have showcased their talent, is it easy to remember all of them?

From past 13.5 years there have been so many talents coming on the show, trust me not all but I remember most of them.

   5. How did you realize for the first time that this show is so big for people?

When we had started people mocked at us that we make people dance and all. When we went outdoors for the auditions, we got to know that people recognized us for BW. We saw the crowd going crazy for it and our ratings shot up.

   6. How has BW strengthened yours and Naved’s friendship?

We know each other from school time. Since we work together we get to interact more. It has nothing to do to make and break our friendship. Friends will be friends anyways.

   7. Did you realize that you have become Raviji to Ravi uncle on the show?

Slowly but surely kids made me realize that, they don’t spare me for that.

   8. How real your reality show is? Are your PJs impromptu or well rehearsed?

PJ’s are impromptu jitne sade-gale PJs aap sunte hai show pe you will find in real life too. Sit with me some day I can crack more rotten ones.

   9. Why BW chose to show emotions through laughter, unlike other shows? Participants cry for altogether different reason here.

If there is something funny people will laugh and if there is something sad people will cry. It all depends what participant says. It is not so that we encourage laughter and discourage emotions. There has been lot of emotional moments on the show. We don’t laugh on anything and everything. If you remember a group from Orissa that had come to our show left all of us in tears.

  10. Without controversy and rona-dhona Boogie Woogie continues to go on?

These elements are not important when you are real. When you put your heart into something, you can go on.

  11. There are so many dance reality shows that have come up, what you have to say about them?

I wish them all the best. I am not taking any names. There is lot of fake-ism and are all doctored. Common people do not get exposure and you get few established stars to dance. There is script but no soul. But I liked Dance India Dance.
