MUMBAI - Prominent choreographer Shaimak Daver backed ‘Victory Arts Foundation’, presented a unique charity dance show for the special-abled children of the Helen Keller Institute, to promote the cause of these special children.

The noble event titled ‘We Can’ took place here last night.

Actors such as Malaika Arora, Hrishita Bhatt and Ritesh Deshmukh performed at the event to lend support to the initiative of Daver’s ‘Victory Art Foundation’.

Daver remarked that he had done this show to exhibit to the world that no matter what the physical limitation may be, any one could dance.

He added that one of the main reasons for doing such a show was to encourage the parents of specially-abled children to ensure that these special children take up dancing.

“I can understand the sense of rejection these children face as I also faced a lot of rejection. In the next ten years, every child on the street in India will dance and that’s my promise,” said Daver.

These star-studded affairs to raise awareness about social issues are on an upswing in India. Over the years, many prominent personalities from all walks of life have come forward to promote such events, across the country. (ANI)
