1948 - Shibu Mitra is a veteran Indian Film Director and Producer. In his career spanning more than 35 feature films, he has been amongst the more experienced Bollywood film directors. His movies were very popular in the 80’s, the most successful amongst them being Aag Hi Aag, Ilzaam, Durga, Aakhri Goli, Paanch Quaidi, Insaaf Main Karoonga and others.
 
1972 - The Rolling Stones began their "Exile On Main Street" North American tour in Vancouver with Stevie Wonder as the opening act. 
 
1973 - June 3, 1973, Jaya Bachchan married actor Amitabh Bachchan. The couple have two children: Shweta Bachchan-Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan, who is also an actor. She has lived her entire married life in the public eye, yet she has always kept her distance from the media.

1974 - Ahmed Khan (Born 3 June) is a choreographer for Bollywood films. He is also an actor and worked in Mr India as one of the orphan kid. His recent work includes Milenge Milenge (2009), Ghajini (2008) (choreographer) Yuvvraaj.

1982 - Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion in Memphis, TN, opened as a tourist attraction. 
 
1987 - George Michael’s "I Want Your Sex" was banned by the BBC. 
 
1987 - Bryan Adams recorded a live version of the Christmas song "Run Rudolph Run." 
 
1990 - Michael Jackson was admitted to St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica after complaining of chest pains. Test showed that he had bruised ribs from dance practice.

2000 - June 3, Suhaib Illyasi, Producer of popular TV serial India’s Most Wanted, was on June 3 granted bail by the Delhi High Court in the case relating to his wife’s alleged dowry death. 

2006 - An about-turn, 3 June, Delhi’s Apollo Hospital on Sunday disclosed that traces of "cocktail of drugs" have been found in the urine sample of Rahul Mahajan, a day after its doctors had stated that the late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan’s son had tested negative for all known drugs.
