The shooting of ‘Gentleman’ directed by writer Posani Krishnamurali, who is also proving his might as an artiste, was completed recently. Nallam Padmaja is producing the film under the banner of Veerabhadra Productions with Arthi Agarwal playing the heroine.

Sonia Agarwal, estranged wife of Tamil director Selvaraghavan, is alive and has not committed suicide, contrary to rumors. The actress who has filed for divorce against her director husband is simply taking some time off and is staying with her parents. The couple married in 2006 after Sonia debuted into Tamil cinema with Selvaraghavan’s film, Kadhal Kondaen, has sought for divorce with mutual consent. This is after rumors of Selvaraghavan’s newfound relationship with Andrea (while working on his latest film, Aayirathil Oruvan) sprang up.

Launch of Gautham Menons Untitled Film

Filmmaker Gautham Menon’s latest untitled film, which is rumored to be the Telugu version of the Tamil film, Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, was launched recently at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad. The film, which will have Naga Chaitanya playing the lead, will be shot in Hyderabad, New York and Kerala and is slated for a December 2009 release. Produced by Manjula (Superstar Krishna’s daughter), the film will have a newcomer playing the heroine and A.R. Rahman will compose the music.

Snehas stalker is caught

Actress Sneha’s stalker, Raghavendra, has been finally caught. The real estate entrepreneur has been arrested for harassing Sneha with phone calls and text messages for the past few months. He kept trying to convince her that he is a millionaire and that she should marry him. Sneha ignored it for a while, but it got unbearable and she filed a police complaint. The culprit was caught and the police found a large picture collection of Sneha on Raghavendra’s mobile and computers. He had also taken some pictures of Sneha during her shooting. He admitted that he had come to Chennai to marry her. A crime report will be submitted shortly since he is found to be guilty.
