LONDON - David and Victoria Beckham are among the 1,900 guests invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding April 29.

The soccer star and the fashion designer reportedly received their invite which will take place at London’s Westminster Abbey over the weekend and are said to be thrilled at the prospect of going, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

David and William, who is president of the English Football Association, became close after leading England’s failed bid to host the 2018 soccer World Cup, while Victoria recently revealed she would be sending over a collection of her dresses for Kate to wear.

Small number of A-list stars and a good proportion of soldiers and pilots, as well as more than 1,000 friends and family and 80 charity workers to reflect the prince’s fairly ordinary life are invited to the wedding.

However, they will not attend the more intimate dinner dance in the evening, which is being hosted by William’s father Prince Charles for 300 people.

British Prime Minister David Cameron has also been invited as have 100 foreign royals and dignitaries.

However, US President Barack Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy are thought to have been omitted from the list because the wedding is not classed as a full state occasion.
