Travolta to receive lifetime achievement honour

LONDON - Hollywood star John Travolta is set to be honoured for his career achievements at a prestigious awards ceremony in Germany next month.

The “Grease” star will receive the top trophy at the Golden Camera event in Berlin Feb 5 and the star, who welcomed baby Benjamin with wife Kelly Preston in November, is delighted with the prize, reports imdb.com.

“Receiving the Golden Camera best actor international award is a huge honour for me. Over the past few months, so many positive things have happened to my family and me: Becoming a dad again has ignited such joy within me… But I also take great pride in my work, and it’s wonderful to have it recognised in such a way,” he said.

Previous recipients include Richard Gere, Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage and Sylvester Stallone. Last year’s winner was Danny DeVito.
