ATLANTA (GaeaTimes.com)- Comedian and rapper Katt Williams is all set to pay $577,929 to a recording producer with respect to an incident in which he alleged ordered his dog to attack the latter’s pet canine. A court in the city of Atlanta has given the order that the 37-year-old comedy artist would have to pay the amount to Merion Joseph Powers for being responsible for instigating his pet to attack the record producer’s dog which left the animal with critical injuries. Despite the fact that news is yet to be validated by Katt Williams or any of his agents, it has indeed come as quite a shocker to his ardent followers.

Merion Joseph Powers filed the lawsuit earlier this year in which he claimed that in the month of October last year, Katt Williams used his studio facilities located in Atlanta in a bid to record his comic acts but never paid him the stipulated amount for using the studio. According to reports, when the recording producer asked the ‘Wild ‘n Out’ star to pay the money, he came to his studio with his pet dog and with the aim of scaring him off, gave a ‘verbal attack signal’ to his pet to launch an attack of his own dog.

In his lawsuit, Merion Joseph Powers alleged that his pet received ’substantial and nearly life-threatening injuries,’ which prompted him to take legal action against Katt Williams. Owing to the incident, the record producer sought $1million in damages but recently after an Atlanta judge gave the verdict in his favor, he would be receiving $577,929.
