‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Jai Ho’ bag Grammy nominations

NEW DELHI - Danny Boyle’s “Slumdog Millionaire” and the song “Jai Ho” from the multiple-Oscar winning film have bagged Grammy nominations.

The movie is nominated in the best compilation soundtrack album for motion picture and TV category, along with “Cadillac Records”, “Inglourious Basterds”, “True Blood” and “Twilight”.

The song “Jai Ho” is nominated in the best song written for motion picture and TV category. Gulzar penned the song and A.R. Rahman composed it.

Hollywood nominations in the category included “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie”, “Decode” from “Twilight”, “Once in a Lifetime” from “Cadillac Records” by Beyonce, and “The Wrestler” from “The Wrestler” by Bruce Springsteen.
