Bristol Palin ‘fan mail’ containing white powder, threats rocks DWTS

NEW YORK - An envelope containing a mysterious white powder arrived at the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ studio with Bristol Palin’s name on it, it has emerged.

A staffer on the hit dance show reportedly found the powder and a threatening letter in fan mail addressed to Palin, according to TMZ.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene at the CBS Television City studio and evacuated part of the building while they investigated, reports the New York Daily News.

Shortly after the report emerged, ABC released a statement confirming the substance was harmless.

“An envelope containing an unknown substance was delivered to the Dancing with the Stars production office on Friday evening,” the network said.

“Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel…Ultimately we were advised by the LAFD that the substance was determined to be talcum powder,” they said. (ANI)
