LONDON - Christina Aguilera has spoken out about being a single mum to son Max after split from husband Jordan Bratman last month.

The singer said her priority was to keep her 20-month-old son Max happy.

“He’s just the happiest guy ever and I want to make sure he remains that way,” the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

She herself was raised by a single mother following her parents’ divorce “and that turned out fantastic”, Aguilera said. It’s hard, definitely. It’s hard just even being a working mum and trying to balance and juggle everything on your plate,” she said.

“I like to be the first thing [my son Max] wakes up to in the morning and the last thing he goes to bed at night seeing, and singing him his lullabies before bed.

“It means the world to me to be able to do that,” she added.

The singer, who was married to Bratman for five years, confessed she would like Max’s childhood to be a little calmer than her own upbringing.

“I grew up in a very chaotic household when I was younger so I want to make sure to instil in him a lot of love,” she said. (ANI)
