Lifestyle event to showcase designs, sculptures

KOLKATA - The ninth annual lifestyle exhibition, Stylefile, will see prominent artisans and designers taking part in the Nov 26 event at Kolkata.

Stylefile organiser Preeti Goenka said: “It is not just an annual fashion event, but an important artistic movement representing the very best of our Bengal and the rest of India.”

The designs of Anamika Khanna, Nachiket Barve, Namrata Joshipura will be on display besides the collection of newcomers like Rahul Mishra, Vikash and Roli of Roliana, Poonam Bhagat of Taika, Varun and Nidhika and Neeru Roowala and Madhu Shah of Tikaaya.

Pictures and sculptures by artisans like Paresh Maity, Jogen Choudhary and Sunil Das will also be displayed, as well as special accessories by Alpana Gujral, Avarna Jain and Kiran Uttam Ghosh.

Goenka said: “Today’s art and fashion recognises no limits or boundaries. These days trend and taste get redefined and re-invented from season to season, year to year. To capture the collectors’ mood and make it memorable, the organisers have attracted some of the finest products from different parts of India.”

Designer Sumedha Saraogi told the media: “The philosophy which underpins Stylefile lifestyle is innovation and a pursuit of excellence. The products on show will be unique. Many of them will be stunning and that is what Stylefile stands for!”

Both Goenka and Saraogi said the prices of the products would be affordable to the common masses.
