MELBOURNE - Former US President Bill Clinton has filmed a cameo for ‘The Hangover Part II’ in Thailand playing himself in the comedy flick.

According to People magazine, he is the latest big name to sign on for the sequel to the 2009 hit, reports News.com.au.

He filmed his part over the weekend while in Bangkok to give a speech on clean energy.

The movie also stars Wedding Crashers actor Bradley Cooper and Due Date’s Zach Galifianakis. Over the weekend it was announced that John Adams star Paul Giamatti would appear as well.

The film’s casting became the object of scrutiny when it was reported that Mel Gibson would have a cameo role in the comedy.

But the cast and crew reportedly complained of the choice given Gibson’s public child-custody battle with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva that included audio recordings of violent, profane and racist rants by the Hollywood heavyweight.

Gibson was sacked and Irish actor Liam Neeson agreed to replace the ‘Braveheart’ actor in the role of a Bangkok tattoo artist.

The film, directed by Todd Phillips, is set to arrive in cinemas in May next year. (ANI)
