Will Ferrell is Hollywood’s most overpaid actor

LOS ANGELES - Will Ferrell is Hollywood’s most overpaid actor, according to a study by Forbes magazine which found that his movies over the past five years have earned just $3.35 for every dollar he was paid.

The most effective star per dollar was Shia LaBeouf whose movies made $81 for every dollar he earned.

Eddie Murphy was the second most overpaid artist, with a $4.45 return for every dollar he was paid, while Denzel Washington was third with $5.10. Seth Rogen and Tom Cruise were not far behind, earning returns of only $6.75 and $7.20, respectively.

Rounding out the top 10 overpaid actors were Drew Barrymore, Matt Damon, Vince Vaughn, Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey.
