LOS ANGELES - Hollywood actor Robert Downey Jr. is likely to opt out of director Alfonso Cuaron’s movie “Gravity” due to a scheduling conflict.

The actor was supposed to film “Gravity” before he shoots “Sherlock Holmes 2″. But a long casting process for the lead actress has delayed the production, and now Downey has already filmed the “Sherlock Holmes” sequel, reports aceshowbiz.com.

According to Deadline.com, these delays “have taken a toll on Downey, who needs to focus soon on ‘The Avengers’, and then ‘Iron Man 3′”. He has also been roped in to star in “Oz: The Great and Powerful” as well as “Yucatan”.

However, Warner Bros is denying rumours about Downey’s exit, claiming they expect to work out the scheduling problems. Meanwhile, the film’s lead actress Sandra Bullock is also reportedly trying to ask him to stay.
