“Rakta Charitra” Releasing Today

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- “Rakta Charitra” has turned out to be one of the most anticipated movies coming from ace director Ram Gopal Varma which is all set to hits theaters across the country today. Given the intense publicity that the film has received as well as the controversies that it has been surrounded with due to its politically charged theme, it would not come as a surprise if “Rakta Charitra” opens to packed theaters all over the country. The flick is going to be a deciding factor for both director Ram Gopal Varma as well as leading man Vivek Oberoi as both of them are in a desperate need of a hit which has remained elusive for them for quite some time now.

The movie “Rakta Charitra” is based on the life of Telugu Desham Party leader Paritala Ravi who was assassinated in the year 2005 with Vivek Oberoi edging his character. Apart from Vivek Oberoi, the other prominent actors who would be seen playing important roles are Shatrughan Sinha, Abhimanyu Singh, Zarina Wahab, Sushant Singh, to name a few. One of the unique highlights of the movie is the fact that it would be releasing in two parts in Hindi and Telugu while the Tamil version of the movie would comprise of only one part. The first part of the “Rakta Charitra” would hit theaters today while the second version would be releasing on November 19.

While talking about “Rakta Charitra,” director Ram Gopal Varma described it as a multi-dimensional movie in which it would be left to the audiences to decide who is actually the hero and who is the villain. However, whether the movie manages to strike the chord with the audiences is something that remains to be seen.
