MUMBAI - A show-stopper cannot always lend grace to a fashion show as the outfits being displayed play a pivotal role. This was evident during Rina Dhakas show at the HDIL-India Couture Week as the collection lacked freshness and even model-turned-actress Anushka Sharmas presence failed to create any magic on the ramp.

Dhaka showcased almost the same line she has displayed at the Delhi Couture week - the only difference being the silhouettes. In the capital, they were western while here they were Indian.

Titled Entanglement, her collection seemed to be an extension of the Cobweb line she had showcased in the capital - the feel and colours of the garments were the same. The line had smoky tones of blues, blacks and pinks and she used brocade lace and nets.

Rohit Bals line too had glimpses of his Delhi Couture week collection, but his work was elegant, detailed and true couture.

Delhi-based Dhakas prt line sells like hot-cakes not only in India but abroad as well, but it seems she needs to work a lot on her couture skills.
