Portia de Rossi Legally Changes her Last Name to DeGeneres

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — Australian actress Portia de Rossi has officially taken her wife Ellen DeGeneres’ last name. Now she will be called as Portia DeGeneres.

As reported by Nydailynews, a judge has granted the “Arrested Development” star the authority to use the last name of her talk-show host wife Ellen DeGeneres.

I am thrilled to legally adopt my wife’s name. I will continue to use Portia de Rossi for professional purposes

, the actress said in a statement.

Portia de Rossi is best known for her television series Ally McBeal and Lindsay Bluth Fnke on the sitcom Arrested Development. She also portrayed Veronica Palmer on the ABC sitcom Better Off Ted.

The celeb duo began dating in 2004 and entered into wed lock in 2008, just after California legalized gay marriage.
