NEW DELHI - Models in crushed clothes strutted in a chilled-out, out-of-the-bed look on a ramp converted into a road as designer duo Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna showcased a collection inspired by travellers on the second day of the Van Heusen India Men’s Week (VHIMW) Saturday.

Titled “Travelogue”, the closing show on day two, had an audio-visual background of a traveller on the road in different terrains and seasons. The line included a contemporary range of jackets, capris, T-shirts and high-neck kurtas in earthy tones.

“Fashion has become very clichéd. For many people, fashion is about good looks and loads of attitude. With our collection we aim to break the notion and pass on a message that fashion is not just about attitude. Wear what you want to and be chilled out,” Rahul told IANS after the show.

The designer duo used accessories like handbags, keys, a cross and a shell with liberty to compliment the theme.

Asked about the idea behind the same, Rahul said: “When we travel we always like to keep souvenirs of that place. To complete the look we ensured that everything from shoes to handbags was absolutely correct.”

Supported by an excess of organic fabrics, the colour palette included muted shades like greys, browns, washed whites and off-whites, and worked metallics.

The show saw a packed audience with the front rows occupied by the likes of filmmaker-designer Karan Johar, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor and socialite Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
