Lisa Marie Presley sacks cleaners for not signing privacy contract

LONDON - Lisa Marie, daughter of Elvis Presley, has fired two cleaners at her English country mansion for not signing a bizarre privacy contract.

They were ordered to leave within 48 hours of Michael Jackson’s ex-wife moving into the 8million pounds 11-bedroom pile.

And the women were warned they would be hauled before an American judge and forced to pay 10,000 dollars (6,500 pounds) compensation if they even told their husbands where they worked.

The six-page “Confidentiality Agreement” bans staff and their relatives from revealing any details of the building, decor or furnishings including any pictures or mementos of Lisa Marie’s family - living or dead.

“It was like they were being asked to sign the Official Secrets Act,” the Sun quoted a friend of one cleaner as saying.

“It was way over the top and they felt it was a total infringement of their human rights.

“Staff could not speak to their husbands, wives or even their grandchildren about what they did.

“Anyone would think they had gone to work for MI6, not a pop star’s ex-wife,” the friend added.

After the report of moving into the house near Tunbridge Wells, Kent, stunned staff was told there had been “a suspected leak”.

Two days later they were handed the contracts and ordered to sign on the spot.

When the frightened 8 pounds-an-hour cleaners refused and asked to take legal advice first, they were told not to come back.

The cleaner’s pal said: “Lisa Marie is a miserable cow.” (ANI)

Lisa Marie is not a miserable cow, it amazes me when I read what people have to say about issues that they clearly have no understanding. Lisa and her family have the right to protect what is sacred in their home and daily life, Lisa is merely asking for respect of their boundaries and rightly so. If I were these people I would have felt privileged to have met her.
