July 31, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Eddie Vedder, the charismatic frontman for iconic band Pearl Jam, writes and performs the fresh track called ‘Better Days’. This is the first single from the OST of the new movie ‘Eat Pray Love’.

The single as well as the entire ‘Eat Pray Love’ soundtrack will be released on September 20, while the Julia Roberts starrer Eat Pray Love is released on September 24.

Vedder carries on with the stylistic adoption of ‘Just Breathe’, a single from Pearl Jam’s album ‘Backspacer’ that was released in the year 2009. The song ‘Better Days’ manifests a softer and talented side of Vedder’s songwriting.

The song has sort of a globetrotting feel that aptly fits the theme of the film. The character as portrayed by Julia Roberts sets out on a self-discovery trip through places as diverse as Italy, India, and Bali.

‘Better Days’ follows up Vedder’s 2007 solo album called ‘Into The Wild’. This served as the soundtrack to the film of the same name, directed by Sean Penn.

The soundtrack for ‘Eat Pray Love’ includes ‘The Long Road’. The song was featured on the film Dead Man Walking soundtrack where Vedder collaborated with the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
