LA VERNE (GaeaTimes.com)- When Martha Henderson started out with her business of selling apple candies, little did she know that one day she will be such a successful businesswoman, but that is exactly where her store Sinfully Sweet Apple Company has taken her. Not only has it raked in the money with which the 51 year old had planned to make only a living, it has also introduced the face of Martha Henderson to the viewers of American television channel Food Network.

The Sinfully Sweet Apple Company has been featured in the latest episode of “Kid in a Candy Store” on Food Network. What is more amazing is not the tastiest apple candies that can be purchased from Martha Henderson’s store, but the history behind it becoming one of the most frequently visited stores of La Verne. Martha Henderson was initially involved in preparing gourmet apples at the Orange County farmers market, a job which she was forced to leave when she got another as manager of a Caltech laboratory. However Martha Henderson could never entirely give up her practice of preparing apple dishes for her family and friends.

The lab manager was finally inspired by co-worker Cheryl Kling to consider making apple candies as part of her business and it was when a health law enacted in the United States prevented them from selling anything through rented kitchens, that Martha Henderson and Cheryl Kling, now her business partner, decided to open their own store Sinfully Sweet Apple Company. Her customers from Orange County have been very loyal to the lady, all of them still buying her apples, not to mention the residents of La Verne and neighboring cities.
