Eminem On Drugs And Gays

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Noted rapper Eminem was earlier known for his homophobia but it seems that his take on gay relationships have changed. A lot of his songs contained slurs on homosexuals and this warned him the wrath of the LGBT activists. He recently talked to a leading newspaper and said that he is no longer phobic towards same sex relationships. In that same interview the rapper talked at length about his addiction for prescription drugs and said how it almost jeopardized his life and career. Incidentally his newly released album ‘Recovery’ is based on this phase of his life which he is trying to get rid of.

He had to spend some time in rehab to get rid of the addiction as he said in the interview. Eminem also revealed in the interview that the treatment in the rehab and the love of his kids helped him overcome the dark phase in his life. He has to see a counselor every week so that he can fight of the habit. He once risked his life by taking methadone a powerful heroin substitute. He got addicted to pills so much that at a time he lost count what pill he was using.

The fatal drug overdose in 2007 left Eminem shaken. He is now hogging the limelight for his new album in which he has collaborated with a number of prominent music artists. After his three year long sabbatical the rapper has become more sober and matured. ‘Recovery’ has got good reviews largely and the tracks leaked in the web also fetched good feedbacks.
