June 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): In Bollywood nothing is predictable, it may either make you or break you, it may welcome you with open arms or just throw you out without further ado. Child actors are no different; they are passionate, talented and have a common goal to make it big.

We have seen, child artists like Kunal Khemu, Hansika Motwani, Urmila Matondkar and Shahid Kapoor grow up right in front of our eyes. They have all come, seen and conquered. Most of them have done well, while some of them are yet to leave a profound mark on this fickle industry known as Bollywood.

We saw Kunal Khemu as the naughty brat on Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke and the idiosyncratic yet delightful character in Raja Hindustani. Soon after, he broke out of the child artist tag and made his debut with Kalyug, it seemed to be promising career, his role was critically appreciated too. He has gone on to do Superstar which bombed at the box office and will now be seen in Golmaal 3.

Aditya Narayan, son of super singer Udit Narayan, made his film debut with a cameo appearance in Rangeela even though his first career choice was to be a singer. It was followed by Pardes and in the movie Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai where he acted with Salman Khan. He then graduated to a successful anchor with ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge’. He has now made a comeback with Vikram Bhatt’s Film Shapit.

Shahid Kapoor is the leading hunk of the industry right now, but earlier he was a just kid featuring in the Complan Advert where he starred along side another future star, Ayesha Takia. Even Hrithik Roshan acted as a child artiste in movies like Aasha , Aap ke Dewaane and Bhagwan Dada. Today when Kites, his latest venture , flying high globally, it has been proved that conclusively that acting was his true call.

The list of child stars is endless. They come toset a foothold in the industry. With such talent available in abundance, Bollywood surely does not lack for anything.
