MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- An upcoming Bollywood film has supposedly angered Sania Mirza. The tennis star is reportedly very unhappy with the producers of “Hyderabadi Damaad”, a film which is based on the real life controversy surrounding the marriage of Sania Mirza with cricketer Shoaib Malik. Debina Bonnerjee, the actress who is most known by her role of ‘Sita’ in the 2008 serial “Ramayan” will play Sania Mirza in the film. What has angered the Indian tennis icon is the fact that the producers did not even bother to inform her before starting work on the project.

The film’s inspiration is Sania Mirza. On the other hand, Debina Bonnerjee, who has been roped for the role of the tennis star says that there is no reason for the latter to worry and complain. The actress says that there is no direct reference to the tennis star in the film. “Hyderabadi Damaad” is completely a work of imagination, with some parts being inspired from Sania Mirza’s life. As she is a star in the country by her own right, Sania Mirza can always be the guiding light for a scriptwriter says Debina Bonnerjee.

Sania Mirza has however made it clear that she is not happy about the project. She has gone on board saying that she will want the director and everyone associated with the film to make a clear announcement that “Hyderabadi Damaad” is not based on her real life events. She does not want anybody to judge her based on false media speculation. Apart from Debina Bonnerjee, the film also features actors Amar Upadhyaya and Ali Merchant. Nobody is sure as to who will portray the character of Shoaib Malik.
