Jersey Boys Star Caught Up In Plane Fire Drama

ASHLEY OLSEN and her actor boyfriend JUSTIN BARTHA weren’t the only passengers praying for a miracle when an electrical fire broke out on a weekend flight from New York to Los Angeles - Broadway star JARROD SPECTOR and actress PAMELA ADLON were also onboard.
Spector was beginning a week-long break from hit musical Jersey Boys - and heading back home to California to hang out with family and friends when he was caught up in the United airplane drama on Sunday (16May10).
Pilots had to make an emergency landing in Washington, D.C. when the blaze broke out in the cockpit - and Spector, who was sitting in an exit aisle, was put on high alert when he was asked to take charge of a possible evacuation.
He tells NBC News, “The last thing you wanna hear is one of the flight attendants asking for fire extinguishers when you’re at 30,000 feet. The flight attendant runs over and says, ‘OK, we went over the safety precautions, you’re gonna have to open the door when we tell you to.
“When the captain opened the cockpit door, there were flames shooting out of the cockpit… It’s, like, your worst nightmare.”
