LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Krista White was crowned “America’s Next Top Model” in the 14th cycle of the popular reality show. She was closely contested by Raina Henn, who was declared the runner up by the end of the show. Upon winning this show, Krista White sets a kind of a record, as being 24 years of age as of the time of the announcement, she becomes the oldest contestant to have ever won in the show. She ousted Yoanna House, who was the winner in the second cycle of the show, and was 23 years old. Besides, she is also the second person to have ever won from Arkansas.

The judges of the show, Tyra Banks, Andre Leon Tally and Nigel Barker decided that Krista White would be best suited to the ramp, as opposed to Raina Henn, whom they dismissed as being too ‘heavy-footed’ for the catwalk. She had been performing consistently well throughout the contest, and had been crowned the winner of the first photo for the last three weeks in a row. As the winner of the show, Krista White got a grand prize. For one, she gets to be represented and managed by the modeling agency Wilhelmina Models. Besides this, she also gets to feature on a six page spread with the Seventeen magazine, and also a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl.

Formerly a store manager by profession from Arkansas, Krista White managed to wow the judges and the audience alike with all her oomph and class. The judge Tyra Banks, who finally conferred the crown on her, said that Krista White is definitely the best suited from among all the contestants in the show, although one of the other judges felt that she ‘walked on air.’
