SYSTEM OF A DOWN spin-off group SCARS ON BROADWAY will return to the stage in May (10), six months after they cancelled their North American tour.

Fans were left fearing for the future of the band, formed by former System Of A Down guitarist Daron Malakian and drummer John Dolmayan, after the rockers called off plans to tour in October (10).

All of the dates, as well as an appearance on U.S. TV show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, were axed, with Malakian explaining his “heart wasn’t into touring at this time”.

But the band is venturing back on to the stage for the first time since the announcement, unveiling plans for a comeback show at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, California on 2 May (10).

System Of A Down has been on indefinite hiatus since 2006 - frontman Serj Tankian and bassist Shavo Odadjian went solo, while Malakian and Dolmayan formed Scars on Broadway.
