Broadway singer/composer MICHAEL GARIN learned his marriage was over for good after he was served with divorce papers halfway through a song.

The lyricist, who is working on tracks for the upcoming musical version of Sleepless in Seattle, admits he is estranged from his wife but did not expect to be handed the legal documents in such an unconventional way.

He tells the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, “We’d been separated for four years, but I’m still not sure why I got served mid-song.”
