Rapper JIM JONES is planning to head back to high school to teach a series of music classes in his native New York.
The Dipset member wants to teach an eight-week series of music classes, and he’s waiting for final approval from education officials for the planned course later this year (10).
He tells Hiphopdx.com, “Right now they’re actually going back and forth with the Board of Education to see what goes on and st. I fully don’t know the whole logistics of everything… It’s definitely going to be fun. I (will) have to go home the weekend before and write out my lessons. This will be the funnest (sic) class you can go to and st but you gonna learn a lot.”
And even though he’s never taught a music course, the rapper is convinced he has a lot to offer: “I’ve done music business since I was a teenager. I had major executive positions. I’ve been successful as an artist and successful as a label. We’ve been successful as a movement.”
The date and location of the classes have yet to be set.
