BROKEN ARROW, OKLAHOMA (GaeaTimes.com)- The jazz band named Glenn Miller Orchestra band which is famous for recreating the wonderful jazz music of Glenn Miller on stage are scheduled to perform on stage at the Broken Arrow PAC this Sunday. The ticket price for the show has been set reportedly at $20 and the show will begin at 2PM. This Sunday will be a musical Sunday for the residents of the Tulsa area who will get to hear the Orchestra live.
Every year since its formation back in the year 1956 it has gone for innumerable stage shows all over the world and mesmerized the audience every where. The 19 member band plays on stage some of Glenn Miller’s hits and at the same time some new jazz music. The band has its own characteristic music which is different from any other jazz music band. The band follows the music style of Glenn Miller who did not allow the trombones and trumpets to dominate the music base created by the clarinet and Tenor saxophone. He also combined with it a harmony which was played by three other saxophones.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra band performs extensively every year and according to reports they perform every week somewhere or the other. The band on March 7 performed at the Bandera High School. The concert was named “An Evening with the Glenn Miller Orchestra”. After their performance this Sunday at Broken Arrow PAC, the band is scheduled to make a stage appearance on March 23 in Indiana Theater. According to reports they will also perform on April 24 in the Beaver Dam High School auditorium.
