San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) – The annual list of Forbes magazines top Billionaire list is out and the Mexican telecom giant Carlos Slim has grabbed the top position in this list with his $53.5 billion net worth of property. Bill Gates failed to make it to the top with his $53 billion though he made it to the top 14 times in the last 15 years. Also, we have to remember that Bill Gates has given tens of billions of dollars to charity though his net wealth rose $13 billion as Microsoft’s shares rebounded to 50%. Here is a sneak peek at the world richest men.

1. Carlos Slim Helú
Mexican Billionaire with biggest mobile company in Latin America and Mexico having big stakes in Televisa, Autonations and Four Seasons hotel chain.

2. William Gates III
He is now running the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. Besides the stakes in Microsoft, he also has stakes in Televisa, Autonations and Four Seasons hotel chain.

3. Warren Buffett
This famous American now controls Geico, Dairy Queen, Mid American Energy, Burlington Northern Santa Fe and BYD.

4. Mukesh Ambani
He is the Indian petrochemical tycoon running the Reliance Industries. The industries include oil, gas and chemical giants.

5. Lakshmi Mittal
Mittal is also from India. The world’s biggest steelmaker, ArcelorMittal is run by him.

6. Lawrence Ellison
He is the Oracle founder from US. He recently purchased Sun Microsystems.

7. Bernard Arnault
He is a billionaire who makes money from other billionaires and millionaires. He owns LVMH, builds yachts. He has a tour operator in France and has a Ski resort in France.

8. Eike Batista
The oil and mining tycoon made some money this year and jumped straight from 61st position to 8th position this year.

9. Amancio Ortega
This Fashion mogul also has interests in real estate, soccer and many other things.

10. Karl Albrecht
He is a German grocery entrepreneur.

man every one of them is an icon and even they are doing charity work for people i think that a very pleasant news for every one in the world because these charity goes for people who dont have any house to live or anything to eat .

Slim has been slim on his donations to charity. Yes a billion here and a billion there sounds like a lot of money, but living in a developing country and making many of his billions off of monopolies, he should learn from Gates and Buffet and Slim and other billionaires should start giving the majority of their wealth away to charities now while they are alive for the good of their countries and humanity. You can’t take it with you, and who needs more then a billion anyhow?
