Oscar 2010 Date And Time: Count Down Begins

LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- Oscar 2010 award ceremony will be held on Sunday, Mar 7. Each and every year people not only from the world of cinema but also from other walks of life wait anxiously for the date and time of the Oscar Awards. This year has been no different. Oscar’s ceremony will begin at 5PM PT or 8PM ET. The nominees have been set for the categories and all wait is now for the final declaration of the award winners.

This year the competition on all the categories seem to be tough. For the best leading actor category, the five nominations are Jeff Bridges for “Crazy Heart”, Morgan Freeman for “Invictus”, George Clooney for “Up in the Air”, Colin Firth for “A Single Man” and Jeremy Renner for “The Hurt Locker”. While Morgan Freeman has already received accolades and award for his performance in the film, he gets a tough competition from other nominees, especially “Crazy Heart” leading man Jeff Bridges. However as the countdown has already begun for the ultimate date and time of the Oscar 2010 curtains to go up, everybody is crossing their fingers for their stars to win.

On the best actress front Sandra Bullock (”The Blind Side”), Helen Mirren (”The Last Station”), Carey Mulligan (”An Education”), Gabourey Sidibe (”Precious”) and Meryl Streep (”Julie &Julia”) are competing for the gold Oscar Statuette. This year the best film nomination has been kept at ten, which includes films like “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ By Sapphire”, “Inglorious Bastards”, “Avatar” and seven other films. All that the fans are left with now is to keep a watch on the time and see their stars make the Oscar 2010 date memorable.
