Guru Surgery Successful

Rapper GURU is recovering from cardiac surgery after suffering a heart attack at the weekend (27-28Feb10).

The 43 year old, a member of pioneering hip-hop duo Gang Starr, collapsed on Sunday (28Feb10) and was rushed to a New York hospital, where he fell into in a coma.

He underwent surgery on Monday (01Mar10) and the operation was a success, according to his hip-hop collaborator DJ Premier.

He writes on his Twitter.com page, “Good news: Guru surgery was successful, keep sending him love.”
