Ram Gopal Varma Chooses Priyamani

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Ram Gopal Varma is a director who always manages to stay in news with most of his films running into pre or post release controversies. However, it needs to be acknowledged that he has given India some of the cult horror and crime noir movies in his career like ‘Bhoot’ and ‘Company’. While the promotional tactics adopted by him for his upcoming flick ‘Phoonk 2′ has already hogged media attention, another film by him named ‘Rakta Charitra’ has also come into focus.
It has been revealed that southern actress Priyamani has been roped in for playing an important part in Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming flick ‘Rakta Charitra’. She will be seen in this trilingual film, on which the filmmaker is banking big time. The actress is going great guns in her career, considering the fact that apart from RGV’s film, she has also been signed by ace director Mani Ratnam for his much touted ‘Raavan’. That is another trilingual film under making. In ‘Rakta Charitra’ the southern siren will play a role opposite Tamil actor Surya. Vivek Oberoi will also essay an important character in this film.
In Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming movie flick ‘Rakta Charitra’ aspiring actress Radhika Apte will play the other female lead. She will play the role of the spouse of Paritala Ravi, played on screen by Vivek Oberoi. Priyamani has said that she is excited at the chance of working with Surya, who is a big star. The film will be made in Tamil, Telegu and Hindi.
