LONDON - “High School Musical” star Zac Efron would love to do a role in the sequel to comic hit “The Hangover”.

The actor moved away from his Disney roots with 2009 drama “Me and Orson Welles”, and this year awaits the release of his fantasy film “The Death and Life of Charlie St.Cloud” but the 22-year-old wants his next role to be more light-hearted, reports accesshollywood.com.

“(A role in ‘The Hangover’ sequel) would be amazing. I think that they’re amazing and I love the cast that they’ve got going on,” he said.

Writer-director Todd Phillips is busy working on a follow-up to the comedy and is set to start filming later this year. And actor Ed Helms admits Efron would be a welcome addition to the cast.

“I love that guy. He’s actually really funny,” said Helms.
