Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Donates $1 Million To Haiti Relief Fund

LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have donated $1 Million to the Haiti relief fund in a bid to help the thousands of victims affected by the massive earthquake that hit the Caribbean island earlier this week. The star couple, who are known for their philanthropic efforts, donated the enormous amount of money from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation to the charitable organization “Doctors Without Borders”.

The organization has undertaken relief operations in the devastated island to cater to the basic needs of the earthquake victims. In a statement released by them, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have expressed thatthe donation of $1 Million to Haiti relief fund is for people who are already reeling under the onslaught of poverty and violence. At the same time, the couple also reiterated that now the top priority is to serve the requirement of the victims who have been rendered homeless and their immediate needs have to be fulfilled. Moreover, the couple have also added that they are ready to work with rapper Wyclef Jean to provide utmost support to the relief efforts that are being taken in the island to ensure the rehabilitation of the displaced victims.

The Caribbean island of Haiti was rocked by a major earthquake this week which measured 7 on the Richter Scale with the capital city of Port-au-Prince being majorly affected. The natural calamity resulted in the death of thousands of victims and many lost their homes. Apart from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who have donated $1 million to Haiti relief fund, support has been pouring in from a number of other celebrities.

Angelina has a good heart, it is to bad more hollywood people did not feel the same way as she. We all would live in a better world if they did considering they have the means to help these unfortunate people. God Bless you Anglina and family.
