Avatar, Hangover And Hurt Locker Lead Wga Awards Nominations

AVATAR, THE HANGOVER and THE HURT LOCKER are among the best scripted films of 2009, according to the Writers Guild of America.
The original screenplays for the three films joined (500) Days of Summer and A Serious Man for the WGA nominations on Monday morning (11Jan10).
Crazy Heart, Julie & Julia, Precious: Based on the novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, Star Trek and Up in the Air landed Best Adapted Screenplay nominations.
The winners will be announced on 20 February (10) at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
