Myleene Klass left ‘aghast’ after cops blast her for waving knife at burglars

LONDON - Brit actress/singer Myleene Klass is said to have been left stunned after she received a telling-off from cops for waving a knife at burglars outside her home.

Klass, 31, had waved the knife through a window when she saw men trying to break into her garden shed, and after she shouted at them they approached to peer menacingly through the windows.

When they saw the knife the men ran off, but police who visited her home told her that she could be the one liable for prosecution, as carrying an “offensive weapon” was illegal - even in her own home.

The ex-Hear’Say’s spokesman, Jonathan Shalit, said she has been left “utterly terrified” by the incident and would step up security.

“Myleene was aghast when she was told that the law did not allow her to defend herself at home,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

“All she did was scream loudly and wave the knife to try to frighten them off. She is not looking to be a vigilante, and has the utmost respect for the law.

“But when police said that even if you’re at home alone and there’s an intruder, you are not allowed to protect yourself, she was bemused,” he stated.

Klass’ fiance Graham Quinn, 35, was away on business, and the Marks and Spencer model was alone in her new 1.8million pounds home with two-year-old daughter Ava when she saw the men.

“Words of advice were given to the owner of the property,” Herts police said. (ANI)
