LONDON - Actor Kevin Bacon is to be honoured for charity work at the Critics Choice Movie Awards.

Bacon, 51, will on January 15 receive the Joel Siegel Award, which recognises entertainers’ philanthropy, from the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), reports the BBC.

His website SixDegrees.org, which invites visitors to make donations, has raised nearly 3million dollars since its launch three years ago.

SixDegrees takes its name from the popular game, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, the aim of which is to connect Bacon with any other actor in history using the names of just six other actors as links. (ANI)
