Underwood To Make People’s Choice Awards Her First Event Since Engagement

CARRIE UNDERWOOD has confirmed she’ll be attending the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles next week (06Jan10), making the event her first public outing since she became engaged before Christmas (09).

A representative for Underwood, who is nominated for Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Country Artist, announced the engagement news on 21 December (09), a day after the singer had accepted Canadian ice hockey player Mike Fisher’s proposal.

The former American Idol champion has been dating the Ottawa Senators star since last year (08).

It is not known if Fisher will accompany his bride-to-be to the People’s Choice Awards.
