Ivana Trump splitting with 4th husband Rubicondi

NEW YORK — Ivana Trump says she and husband Rossano Rubicondi are splitting because their lives are a world apart.

Trump filed for divorce from the Italian entrepreneur Friday in New York. The two married in April 2008 but separated months later.

She says in a statement that Rossano has mainly worked and lived in Italy for the last two years, while she’s busy with hotel and resort development projects around the globe. She says the two have struggled to find time to get together.

A lawyer who previously represented Rubicondi didn’t immediately respond to an e-mail message Friday.

The two dated for about six years before their lavish wedding at her ex-husband Donald Trump’s estate in Palm Beach, Fla. It was her fourth marriage.
