Stars Come Out For Jay-z’s Birthday Bash

JAY-Z spared no expense in throwing himself a star-studded 40th birthday bash at the weekend (05-06Dec09) - he flew guests from New York to the Dominican Republic on private jets for his big day.
The hip-hop star, who turned the milestone age on 4 December (09), rented out a mansion in the Casa de Campo resort for the celebration, which was attended by fellow rappers Kanye West, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Lil Wayne, as well as Alicia Keys, Oprah Winfrey, Mary J. Blige and Kate Hudson.
Jay-Z’s pop star wife Beyonce and his mum Gloria were the guests of honour, according to Britain’s The Sun.
And he ensured those on the guest list arrived in style, offering them rides to the Caribbean nation on two private planes.
The party, which was themed around the Al Pacino gangster movie Scarface, was kicked off with a lavish dinner of caviar and champagne, while the Big Pimpin’ star’s pals were later invited to watch a firework display and synchronised swimmers dancing in the pool.
