LONDON - Hollywood star Matt Damon’s fourth instalment of the Bourne franchise has been thrown into jeopardy, as its director Paul Greengrass has reportedly quit the project.

Greengrass joined the film series by taking charge of 2004 “The Bourne Supremacy” and returned to direct “The Bourne Ultimatum” in 2007 but the new film’s fate is in doubt amid reports that the director has walked away from the project, reports express.co.uk.

Rumours are also rife that Greengrass quit after bosses at Hollywood studio Universal hired their own writer to look after the script without consulting the director.
