Domingo To Play Christmas Concert In Mexico

Tenor PLACIDO DOMINGO will give fans in Mexico an early Christmas treat next month (Dec09) when he plays a free concert in the capital city.

The Spanish opera star will take to the stage in the open-air at the Angel of Independence monument when he returns to Mexico City for the first time in seven years on 19 December.

Domingo, 68, spent part of his childhood in Mexico and his show will be part of the Christmas Magic celebrations - a 36-day event which is expected to attract a total of three million visitors to Mexico City.
