Filmmaker K. Balachandar and his daughter Pushpa Kandasamy have been simultaneously churning out more films at the same time. They have already completed shooting for Jeevan starrer ‘Krishna Leelai’ and this film’s audio will be launched in December. On the pars, the other project ‘Nootrukku Nooru’ starring Vinay in lead role (remake of yesteryear Tamil film with the same title) is fast on the heels on completion.

And now, the producers have already started their next project titled ‘Muriyadi’, which happens to be a remake of Malayalam film ‘Passenger’. The Malayalam version featured Srinivasan, Dileep and Mamta Mohandas in lead roles with debutant Ranjith Shankar wielding the megaphone.

Herein this Tamil remake, director Selvah has roped in Sathyaraj to perform the role of Srinivasan while Ganesh Venkatram is taking on the role of a lawyer and Ramya Nambeesan as a journalist.

The film is about an ordinary man’s transformation that results in the drastic change over a problematic issue, which has been troubling the society.

D. Imman has scored music for the film while renowned art director Shiva Yadav is erecting some appealing sets. Suresh Urs takes care of editing and Bala Murugan cranks the camera.

‘Muriyadi’ started rolling on November 16 and will be shot extensively across the exotic locales of Kovai, Pollacchi, Paalakaadu and Senkottai. The producers and filmmaker Selvah have confirmed about completing the film’s shooting within 45 days and will release it by February.
