Thomas Keller And His Restaurant, The French Laundry: Story

San Francisco- The widely-acclaimed chef, Thomas Keller, appeared on the show Top Chef to judge the elimination round and got rid of one of the five finalist chef’testants. Thomas Keller may have got fan-favorite Eli out of the show, but this has not stopped the Google-savvy Americans for searching him out along with his popular restaurant ‘The French Laundry‘.

Thomas Keller, 55, is the winner of several awards including the Best American Chef: CA in 1996, and The Outstanding Chef: America in 1997. His most recent endowment was made up of the Paige Kupperberg’s Hero that he’s been winning since the year of 2001.

The CA based chef, has jot down his best recipes in several of his books based on his different restaurants. One of them is the book ‘The French Laundry‘ which was released in 1999, and was based on the eatery of the same name, which came into operation in 1994. The restaurant is famous for its contemporary American food, that is heavily influenced by the French cuisine, and is visited by the who’s who of Hollywood. ‘The French Laundry‘, has also won many awards, its longest being the ‘Five star Award’, that is being granted to it since 1999 to this day.

Thomas Keller, along with his brother, also opened other restaurants, once ‘The French Laundry‘ proved to be a success. The other ventures include the Bouchon in LA, NY, and Yountsville, and Per Se in NY. The most recent addition to his food brigade has been the casual eat-outer Ad hoc, which ultimately even inspired him to write the recipes served in the facility in his latest cookbook, of the same name.
