Warhol’s Jackson Painting Sold

A MICHAEL JACKSON portrait by legendary artist ANDY WARHOL has sold for $812,000 (£507,500) at an auction in Los Angeles.
The King of Pop picture was bought by an anonymous bidder at Christie’s auction house on Tuesday (10Nov09) for more than the expected price of $700,000 (£437,500).
The artwork, which was completed in 1984, was sold by a New York-based collector, who bought it from the Andy Warhol Foundation in the 1990s.
