ABC’s ‘Eastwick,’ bewitched by low ratings, axed
NEW YORK — ABC says its new fall drama “Eastwick” won’t be on the air beyond its first 13 episodes.
The show is based on the John Updike novel “The Witches of Eastwick” and a 1987 film version, but has been haunted by low ratings. It attracted fewer than 5 million viewers last week.
It stars Paul Gross and Lindsay Price.
ABC is owned by The Walt Disney Co.

Booooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooooooooo ABC. I was not aware ABC canceled Eastwick, I have been checking each week to see if it is on. WHAT A BUMMER. I liked this show so much that I stayed up late to watch. I am also really, really disappointed that ABC cancelled Eastwick. I agree put it on a different time or day. I watch my ABC soap,but Eastwick was the only other show that I really liked on ABC. Off to another network. Please rethink you decision to cancel. One last thing. |

okay… i found Eastweek by accident….. on 23rd January 2010….. and finished watching 11 episodes in 2 days…. it’s funny, the characters are great, the power charge of the “witches” is interesting…. just like charmed… sucked at the start…. but becam interesting…. it’s a shame supernatural TV series are almost non existant…. |

Why anything I like seems to be cancelled. Moonlight and now this (Eastwick), what is ABC doing? Do they not want us to watch their channels. Are we suppose to just watch the reality show which I DO NOT enjoy I have enough in my own life. I am sick of see those kind of shows. |

I can’t believe another one of my favorite shows has been cancelled (Eastwick). I don’t think those tv exects give these shows a chance to catch on. pretty soon there won’t be anything on regular tv that I care to watch. |

I dont watch to many shows on a regular basis, but, Eastwick was one of them. Maybe if they put it on an earlier time slot it would get better ratings. It really is a good show. I hate to see if off the air so soon. |

I am really, really disappointed that Eastwicke has been cancelled. I watched it every week and looked forward to the next. I liked it as much as The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural or Criminal Minds. I think you`re making a big mistake. Look how long Charmed ran, and Eastwicke is just as good or better.(Of course Riches was cancelled and I didnt understand that either, whoever their creator was)Susan. |
